الاصحاح 1
1 بُولُسُ، رَسُولُ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، بِحَسَبِ أَمْرِ اللهِ مُخَلِّصِنَا وَرَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، رَجَائِنَا.
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
2 إِلَى تِيمُوثَاوُسَ، الاِبْنِ الصَّرِيحِ فِي الإِيمَانِ. نِعْمَةٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَسَلاَمٌ مِنَ اللهِ أَبِينَا وَالْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ رَبِّنَا.
2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
3 كَمَا طَلَبْتُ إِلَيْكَ أَنْ تَمْكُثَ فِي أَفَسُسَ، إِذْ كُنْتُ أَنَا ذَاهِباً إِلَى مَكِدُونِيَّةَ، لِكَيْ تُوصِيَ قَوْماً أَنْ لاَ يُعَلِّمُوا تَعْلِيماً آخَرَ،
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
4 وَلاَ يُصْغُوا إِلَى خُرَافَاتٍ وَأَنْسَابٍ لاَ حَدَّ لَهَا، تُسَبِّبُ مُبَاحَثَاتٍ دُونَ بُنْيَانِ اللهِ الَّذِي فِي الإِيمَانِ.
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
5 وَأَمَّا غَايَةُ الْوَصِيَّةِ فَهِيَ الْمَحَبَّةُ مِنْ قَلْبٍ طَاهِرٍ، وَضَمِيرٍ صَالِحٍ، وَإِيمَانٍ بِلاَ رِيَاءٍ.
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
6 الأُمُورُ الَّتِي إِذْ زَاغَ قَوْمٌ عَنْهَا انْحَرَفُوا إِلَى كَلاَمٍ بَاطِلٍ.
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مُعَلِّمِي النَّامُوسِ، وَهُمْ لاَ يَفْهَمُونَ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَلاَ مَا يُقَرِّرُونَهُ.
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
8 وَلَكِنَّنَا نَعْلَمُ أَنَّ النَّامُوسَ صَالِحٌ، إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ يَسْتَعْمِلُهُ نَامُوسِيّاً.
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 عَالِماً هَذَا: أَنَّ النَّامُوسَ لَمْ يُوضَعْ لِلْبَارِّ، بَلْ لِلأَثَمَةِ وَالْمُتَمَرِّدِينَ، لِلْفُجَّارِ وَالْخُطَاةِ، لِلدَّنِسِينَ وَالْمُسْتَبِيحِينَ، لِقَاتِلِي الآبَاءِ وَقَاتِلِي الأُمَّهَاتِ، لِقَاتِلِي النَّاسِ،
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 لِلزُّنَاةِ، لِمُضَاجِعِي الذُّكُورِ، لِسَارِقِي النَّاسِ، لِلْكَذَّابِينَ، لِلْحَانِثِينَ، وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ آخَرُ يُقَاوِمُ التَّعْلِيمَ الصَّحِيحَ،
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 حَسَبَ إِنْجِيلِ مَجْدِ اللهِ الْمُبَارَكِ الَّذِي اؤْتُمِنْتُ أَنَا عَلَيْهِ.
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
12 وَأَنَا أَشْكُرُ الْمَسِيحَ يَسُوعَ رَبَّنَا الَّذِي قَوَّانِي، أَنَّهُ حَسِبَنِي أَمِيناً، إِذْ جَعَلَنِي لِلْخِدْمَةِ،
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 أَنَا الَّذِي كُنْتُ قَبْلاً مُجَدِّفاً وَمُضْطَهِداً وَمُفْتَرِياً. وَلَكِنَّنِي رُحِمْتُ، لأَنِّي فَعَلْتُ بِجَهْلٍ فِي عَدَمِ إِيمَانٍ.
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 وَتَفَاضَلَتْ نِعْمَةُ رَبِّنَا جِدّاً مَعَ الإِيمَانِ وَالْمَحَبَّةِ الَّتِي فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 صَادِقَةٌ هِيَ الْكَلِمَةُ وَمُسْتَحِقَّةٌ كُلَّ قُبُولٍ: أَنَّ الْمَسِيحَ يَسُوعَ جَاءَ إِلَى الْعَالَمِ لِيُخَلِّصَ الْخُطَاةَ الَّذِينَ أَوَّلُهُمْ أَنَا.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 لَكِنَّنِي لِهَذَا رُحِمْتُ: لِيُظْهِرَ يَسُوعُ الْمَسِيحُ فِيَّ أَنَا أَوَّلاً كُلَّ أَنَاةٍ، مِثَالاً لِلْعَتِيدِينَ أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ لِلْحَيَاةِ الأَبَدِيَّةِ.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
17 وَمَلِكُ الدُّهُورِ الَّذِي لاَ يَفْنَى وَلاَ يُرَى، الإِلَهُ الْحَكِيمُ وَحْدَهُ، لَهُ الْكَرَامَةُ وَالْمَجْدُ إِلَى دَهْرِ الدُّهُورِ. آمِينَ.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
18 هَذِهِ الْوَصِيَّةُ أَيُّهَا الاِبْنُ تِيمُوثَاوُسُ أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ إِيَّاهَا حَسَبَ النُّبُوَّاتِ الَّتِي سَبَقَتْ عَلَيْكَ، لِكَيْ تُحَارِبَ فِيهَا الْمُحَارَبَةَ الْحَسَنَةَ،
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19 وَلَكَ إِيمَانٌ وَضَمِيرٌ صَالِحٌ، الَّذِي إِذْ رَفَضَهُ قَوْمٌ انْكَسَرَتْ بِهِمِ السَّفِينَةُ مِنْ جِهَةِ الإِيمَانِ أَيْضاً،
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 الَّذِينَ مِنْهُمْ هِيمِينَايُسُ وَالإِسْكَنْدَرُ، اللَّذَانِ أَسْلَمْتُهُمَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ لِكَيْ يُؤَدَّبَا حَتَّى لاَ يُجَدِّفَا.
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
الاصحاح 2
1 فَأَطْلُبُ أَوَّلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَنْ تُقَامَ طِلْبَاتٌ وَصَلَوَاتٌ وَابْتِهَالاَتٌ وَتَشَكُّرَاتٌ لأَجْلِ جَمِيعِ النَّاسِ،
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 لأَجْلِ الْمُلُوكِ وَجَمِيعِ الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي مَنْصِبٍ، لِكَيْ نَقْضِيَ حَيَاةً مُطْمَئِنَّةً هَادِئَةً فِي كُلِّ تَقْوَى وَوَقَارٍ،
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 لأَنَّ هَذَا حَسَنٌ وَمَقْبُولٌ لَدَى مُخَلِّصِنَا اللهِ،
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 الَّذِي يُرِيدُ أَنَّ جَمِيعَ النَّاسِ يَخْلُصُونَ وَإِلَى مَعْرِفَةِ الْحَقِّ يُقْبِلُونَ.
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 لأَنَّهُ يُوجَدُ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَوَسِيطٌ وَاحِدٌ بَيْنَ اللهِ وَالنَّاسِ: الإِنْسَانُ يَسُوعُ الْمَسِيحُ،
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 الَّذِي بَذَلَ نَفْسَهُ فِدْيَةً لأَجْلِ الْجَمِيعِ، الشَّهَادَةُ فِي أَوْقَاتِهَا الْخَاصَّةِ،
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7 الَّتِي جُعِلْتُ أَنَا لَهَا كَارِزاً وَرَسُولاً. الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ فِي الْمَسِيحِ وَلاَ أَكْذِبُ، مُعَلِّماً لِلأُمَمِ فِي الإِيمَانِ وَالْحَقِّ.
7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8 فَأُرِيدُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرِّجَالُ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ رَافِعِينَ أَيَادِيَ طَاهِرَةً، بِدُونِ غَضَبٍ وَلاَ جِدَالٍ.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 وَكَذَلِكَ أَنَّ النِّسَاءَ يُزَيِّنَّ ذَوَاتِهِنَّ بِلِبَاسِ الْحِشْمَةِ مَعَ وَرَعٍ وَتَعَقُّلٍ، لاَ بِضَفَائِرَ أَوْ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ لَآلِئَ أَوْ مَلاَبِسَ كَثِيرَةِ الثَّمَنِ،
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 بَلْ كَمَا يَلِيقُ بِنِسَاءٍ مُتَعَاهِدَاتٍ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ بِأَعْمَالٍ صَالِحَةٍ.
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 لِتَتَعَلَّمِ الْمَرْأَةُ بِسُكُوتٍ فِي كُلِّ خُضُوعٍ.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 وَلَكِنْ لَسْتُ آذَنُ لِلْمَرْأَةِ أَنْ تُعَلِّمَ وَلاَ تَتَسَلَّطَ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ، بَلْ تَكُونُ فِي سُكُوتٍ،
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 لأَنَّ آدَمَ جُبِلَ أَوَّلاً ثُمَّ حَوَّاءُ،
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 وَآدَمُ لَمْ يُغْوَ لَكِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ أُغْوِيَتْ فَحَصَلَتْ فِي التَّعَدِّي،
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 وَلَكِنَّهَا سَتَخْلُصُ بِوِلاَدَةِ الأَوْلاَدِ، إِنْ ثَبَتْنَ فِي الإِيمَانِ وَالْمَحَبَّةِ وَالْقَدَاسَةِ مَعَ التَّعَقُّلِ.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
الاصحاح 3
1 صَادِقَةٌ هِيَ الْكَلِمَةُ: إِنِ ابْتَغَى أَحَدٌ الأُسْقُفِيَّةَ فَيَشْتَهِي عَمَلاً صَالِحاً.
1 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 فَيَجِبُ أَنْ يَكُونَ الأُسْقُفُ بِلاَ لَوْمٍ، بَعْلَ امْرَأَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، صَاحِياً، عَاقِلاً، مُحْتَشِماً، مُضِيفاً لِلْغُرَبَاءِ، صَالِحاً لِلتَّعْلِيمِ،
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 غَيْرَ مُدْمِنِ الْخَمْرِ، وَلاَ ضَرَّابٍ، وَلاَ طَامِعٍ بِالرِّبْحِ الْقَبِيحِ، بَلْ حَلِيماً، غَيْرَ مُخَاصِمٍ، وَلاَ مُحِبٍّ لِلْمَالِ،
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 يُدَبِّرُ بَيْتَهُ حَسَناً، لَهُ أَوْلاَدٌ فِي الْخُضُوعِ بِكُلِّ وَقَارٍ.
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 وَإِنَّمَا إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ لاَ يَعْرِفُ أَنْ يُدَبِّرَ بَيْتَهُ، فَكَيْفَ يَعْتَنِي بِكَنِيسَةِ اللهِ؟
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 غَيْرَ حَدِيثِ الإِيمَانِ لِئَلاَّ يَتَصَلَّفَ فَيَسْقُطَ فِي دَيْنُونَةِ إِبْلِيسَ.
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 وَيَجِبُ أَيْضاً أَنْ تَكُونَ لَهُ شَهَادَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ مِنَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ خَارِجٍ، لِئَلاَّ يَسْقُطَ فِي تَعْيِيرٍ وَفَخِّ إِبْلِيسَ.
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 كَذَلِكَ يَجِبُ أَنْ يَكُونَ الشَّمَامِسَةُ ذَوِي وَقَارٍ، لاَ ذَوِي لِسَانَيْنِ، غَيْرَ مُولَعِينَ بِالْخَمْرِ الْكَثِيرِ، وَلاَ طَامِعِينَ بِالرِّبْحِ الْقَبِيحِ،
8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
9 وَلَهُمْ سِرُّ الإِيمَانِ بِضَمِيرٍ طَاهِرٍ.
9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 وَإِنَّمَا هَؤُلاَءِ أَيْضاً لِيُخْتَبَرُوا أَوَّلاً، ثُمَّ يَتَشَمَّسُوا إِنْ كَانُوا بِلاَ لَوْمٍ.
10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 كَذَلِكَ يَجِبُ أَنْ تَكُونَ النِّسَاءُ ذَوَاتِ وَقَارٍ، غَيْرَ ثَالِبَاتٍ، صَاحِيَاتٍ، أَمِينَاتٍ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ.
11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
12 لِيَكُنِ الشَّمَامِسَةُ كُلٌّ بَعْلَ امْرَأَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، مُدَبِّرِينَ أَوْلاَدَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ حَسَناً،
12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 لأَنَّ الَّذِينَ تَشَمَّسُوا حَسَناً يَقْتَنُونَ لأَنْفُسِهِمْ دَرَجَةً حَسَنَةً وَثِقَةً كَثِيرَةً فِي الإِيمَانِ الَّذِي بِالْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ.
13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
14 هَذَا أَكْتُبُهُ إِلَيْكَ رَاجِياً أَنْ آتِيَ إِلَيْكَ عَنْ قَرِيبٍ.
14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
15 وَلَكِنْ إِنْ كُنْتُ أُبْطِئُ فَلِكَيْ تَعْلَمَ كَيْفَ يَجِبُ أَنْ تَتَصَرَّفَ فِي بَيْتِ اللهِ، الَّذِي هُوَ كَنِيسَةُ اللهِ الْحَيِّ، عَمُودُ الْحَقِّ وَقَاعِدَتُهُ.
15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 وَبِالإِجْمَاعِ عَظِيمٌ هُوَ سِرُّ التَّقْوَى: اللهُ ظَهَرَ فِي الْجَسَدِ، تَبَرَّرَ فِي الرُّوحِ، تَرَاءَى لِمَلاَئِكَةٍ، كُرِزَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ، أُومِنَ بِهِ فِي الْعَالَمِ، رُفِعَ فِي الْمَجْدِ.
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
الاصحاح 4
1 وَلَكِنَّ الرُّوحَ يَقُولُ صَرِيحاً: إِنَّهُ فِي الأَزْمِنَةِ الأَخِيرَةِ يَرْتَدُّ قَوْمٌ عَنِ الإِيمَانِ، تَابِعِينَ أَرْوَاحاً مُضِلَّةً وَتَعَالِيمَ شَيَاطِينَ،
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 فِي رِيَاءِ أَقْوَالٍ كَاذِبَةٍ، مَوْسُومَةً ضَمَائِرُهُمْ،
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 مَانِعِينَ عَنِ الزِّوَاجِ، وَآمِرِينَ أَنْ يُمْتَنَعَ عَنْ أَطْعِمَةٍ قَدْ خَلَقَهَا اللهُ لِتُتَنَاوَلَ بِالشُّكْرِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَعَارِفِي الْحَقِّ.
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 لأَنَّ كُلَّ خَلِيقَةِ اللهِ جَيِّدَةٌ، وَلاَ يُرْفَضُ شَيْءٌ إِذَا أُخِذَ مَعَ الشُّكْرِ،
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 لأَنَّهُ يُقَدَّسُ بِكَلِمَةِ اللهِ وَالصَّلاَةِ.
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 إِنْ فَكَّرْتَ الإِخْوَةَ بِهَذَا تَكُونُ خَادِماً صَالِحاً لِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، مُتَرَبِّياً بِكَلاَمِ الإِيمَانِ وَالتَّعْلِيمِ الْحَسَنِ الَّذِي تَتَبَّعْتَهُ.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
7 وَأَمَّا الْخُرَافَاتُ الدَّنِسَةُ الْعَجَائِزِيَّةُ فَارْفُضْهَا، وَرَوِّضْ نَفْسَكَ لِلتَّقْوَى.
7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 لأَنَّ الرِّيَاضَةَ الْجَسَدِيَّةَ نَافِعَةٌ لِقَلِيلٍ، وَلَكِنَّ التَّقْوَى نَافِعَةٌ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ، إِذْ لَهَا مَوْعِدُ الْحَيَاةِ الْحَاضِرَةِ وَالْعَتِيدَةِ.
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 صَادِقَةٌ هِيَ الْكَلِمَةُ وَمُسْتَحِقَّةٌ كُلَّ قُبُولٍ.
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 لأَنَّنَا لِهَذَا نَتْعَبُ وَنُعَيَّرُ، لأَنَّنَا قَدْ أَلْقَيْنَا رَجَاءَنَا عَلَى اللهِ الْحَيِّ، الَّذِي هُوَ مُخَلِّصُ جَمِيعِ النَّاسِ وَلاَ سِيَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ.
10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
11 أَوْصِ بِهَذَا وَعَلِّمْ.
11 These things command and teach.
12 لاَ يَسْتَهِنْ أَحَدٌ بِحَدَاثَتِكَ، بَلْ كُنْ قُدْوَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الْكَلاَمِ، فِي التَّصَرُّفِ، فِي الْمَحَبَّةِ، فِي الرُّوحِ، فِي الإِيمَانِ، فِي الطَّهَارَةِ.
12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 إِلَى أَنْ أَجِيءَ اعْكُفْ عَلَى الْقِرَاءَةِ وَالْوَعْظِ وَالتَّعْلِيمِ.
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 لاَ تُهْمِلِ الْمَوْهِبَةَ الَّتِي فِيكَ الْمُعْطَاةَ لَكَ بِالنُّبُوَّةِ مَعَ وَضْعِ أَيْدِي الْمَشْيَخَةِ.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 اهْتَمَّ بِهَذَا. كُنْ فِيهِ، لِكَيْ يَكُونَ تَقَدُّمُكَ ظَاهِراً فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16 لاَحِظْ نَفْسَكَ وَالتَّعْلِيمَ وَدَاوِمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ، لأَنَّكَ إِذَا فَعَلْتَ هَذَا تُخَلِّصُ نَفْسَكَ وَالَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَكَ أَيْضاً.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
الاصحاح 5
1 لاَ تَزْجُرْ شَيْخاً بَلْ عِظْهُ كَأَبٍ، وَالأَحْدَاثَ كَإِخْوَةٍ،
1 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;
2 وَالْعَجَائِزَ كَأُمَّهَاتٍ، وَالْحَدَثَاتِ كَأَخَوَاتٍ، بِكُلِّ طَهَارَةٍ.
2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
3 أَكْرِمِ الأَرَامِلَ اللَّوَاتِي هُنَّ بِالْحَقِيقَةِ أَرَامِلُ.
3 Honour widows that are widows indeed.
4 وَلَكِنْ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَرْمَلَةٌ لَهَا أَوْلاَدٌ أَوْ حَفَدَةٌ، فَلْيَتَعَلَّمُوا أَوَّلاً أَنْ يُوَقِّرُوا أَهْلَ بَيْتِهِمْ وَيُوفُوا وَالِدِيهِمِ الْمُكَافَأَةَ، لأَنَّ هَذَا صَالِحٌ وَمَقْبُولٌ أَمَامَ اللهِ.
4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
5 وَلَكِنَّ الَّتِي هِيَ بِالْحَقِيقَةِ أَرْمَلَةٌ وَوَحِيدَةٌ، فَقَدْ أَلْقَتْ رَجَاءَهَا عَلَى اللهِ، وَهِيَ تُواظِبُ عَلَى الطِّلْبَاتِ وَالصَّلَوَاتِ لَيْلاً وَنَهَاراً.
5 Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
6 وَأَمَّا الْمُتَنَعِّمَةُ فَقَدْ مَاتَتْ وَهِيَ حَيَّةٌ.
6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
7 فَأَوْصِ بِهَذَا لِكَيْ يَكُنَّ بِلاَ لَوْمٍ.
7 And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
8 وَإِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ لاَ يَعْتَنِي بِخَاصَّتِهِ، وَلاَ سِيَّمَا أَهْلُ بَيْتِهِ، فَقَدْ أَنْكَرَ الإِيمَانَ، وَهُوَ شَرٌّ مِنْ غَيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ.
8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
9 لِتُكْتَتَبْ أَرْمَلَةٌ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ عُمْرُهَا أَقَلَّ مِنْ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً، امْرَأَةَ رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ،
9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man.
10 مَشْهُوداً لَهَا فِي أَعْمَالٍ صَالِحَةٍ، إِنْ تَكُنْ قَدْ رَبَّتِ الأَوْلاَدَ، أَضَافَتِ الْغُرَبَاءَ، غَسَّلَتْ أَرْجُلَ الْقِدِّيسِينَ، سَاعَدَتِ الْمُتَضَايِقِينَ، اتَّبَعَتْ كُلَّ عَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ.
10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
11 أَمَّا الأَرَامِلُ الْحَدَثَاتُ فَارْفُضْهُنَّ، لأَنَّهُنَّ مَتَى بَطِرْنَ عَلَى الْمَسِيحِ يُرِدْنَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجْنَ،
11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
12 وَلَهُنَّ دَيْنُونَةٌ لأَنَّهُنَّ رَفَضْنَ الإِيمَانَ الأَوَّلَ.
12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
13 وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ أَيْضاً يَتَعَلَّمْنَ أَنْ يَكُنَّ بَطَّالاَتٍ، يَطُفْنَ فِي الْبُيُوتِ. وَلَسْنَ بَطَّالاَتٍ فَقَطْ بَلْ مِهْذَارَاتٌ أَيْضاً، وَفُضُولِيَّاتٌ، يَتَكَلَّمْنَ بِمَا لاَ يَجِبُ.
13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
14 فَأُرِيدُ أَنَّ الْحَدَثَاتِ يَتَزَوَّجْنَ وَيَلِدْنَ الأَوْلاَدَ وَيُدَبِّرْنَ الْبُيُوتَ، وَلاَ يُعْطِينَ عِلَّةً لِلْمُقَاوِمِ مِنْ أَجْلِ الشَّتْمِ.
14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
15 فَإِنَّ بَعْضَهُنَّ قَدِ انْحَرَفْنَ وَرَاءَ الشَّيْطَانِ.
15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.
16 إِنْ كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَوْ مُؤْمِنَةٍ أَرَامِلُ فَلْيُسَاعِدْهُنَّ وَلاَ يُثَقَّلْ عَلَى الْكَنِيسَةِ، لِكَيْ تُسَاعِدَ هِيَ اللَّوَاتِي هُنَّ بِالْحَقِيقَةِ أَرَامِلُ.
16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.
17 أَمَّا الشُّيُوخُ الْمُدَبِّرُونَ حَسَناً فَلْيُحْسَبُوا أَهْلاً لِكَرَامَةٍ مُضَاعَفَةٍ، وَلاَ سِيَّمَا الَّذِينَ يَتْعَبُونَ فِي الْكَلِمَةِ وَالتَّعْلِيمِ،
17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
18 لأَنَّ الْكِتَابَ يَقُولُ: «لاَ تَكُمَّ ثَوْراً دَارِساً، وَالْفَاعِلُ مُسْتَحِقٌّ أُجْرَتَهُ».
18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
19 لاَ تَقْبَلْ شِكَايَةً عَلَى شَيْخٍ إِلاَّ عَلَى شَاهِدَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثَةِ شُهُودٍ.
19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
20 اَلَّذِينَ يُخْطِئُونَ وَبِّخْهُمْ أَمَامَ الْجَمِيعِ لِكَيْ يَكُونَ عِنْدَ الْبَاقِينَ خَوْفٌ.
20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
21 أُنَاشِدُكَ أَمَامَ اللهِ وَالرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ الْمُخْتَارِينَ أَنْ تَحْفَظَ هَذَا بِدُونِ غَرَضٍ، وَلاَ تَعْمَلَ شَيْئاً بِمُحَابَاةٍ.
21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
22 لاَ تَضَعْ يَداً عَلَى أَحَدٍ بِالْعَجَلَةِ، وَلاَ تَشْتَرِكْ فِي خَطَايَا الآخَرِينَ. احْفَظْ نَفْسَكَ طَاهِراً.
22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.
23 لاَ تَكُنْ فِي مَا بَعْدُ شَرَّابَ مَاءٍ، بَلِ اسْتَعْمِلْ خَمْراً قَلِيلاً مِنْ أَجْلِ مَعِدَتِكَ وَأَسْقَامِكَ الْكَثِيرَةِ.
23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.
24 خَطَايَا بَعْضِ النَّاسِ وَاضِحَةٌ تَتَقَدَّمُ إِلَى الْقَضَاءِ، وَأَمَّا الْبَعْضُ فَتَتْبَعُهُمْ.
24 Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.
25 كَذَلِكَ أَيْضاً الأَعْمَالُ الصَّالِحَةُ وَاضِحَةٌ، وَالَّتِي هِيَ خِلاَفُ ذَلِكَ لاَ يُمْكِنُ أَنْ تُخْفى.
25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
الاصحاح 6
1 جَمِيعُ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَبِيدٌ تَحْتَ نِيرٍ فَلْيَحْسِبُوا سَادَتَهُمْ مُسْتَحِقِّينَ كُلَّ إِكْرَامٍ، لِئَلاَّ يُفْتَرَى عَلَى اسْمِ اللهِ وَتَعْلِيمِهِ.
1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
2 وَالَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سَادَةٌ مُؤْمِنُونَ لاَ يَسْتَهِينُوا بِهِمْ لأَنَّهُمْ إِخْوَةٌ، بَلْ لِيَخْدِمُوهُمْ أَكْثَرَ، لأَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتَشَارَكُونَ فِي الْفَائِدَةِ هُمْ مُؤْمِنُونَ وَمَحْبُوبُونَ. عَلِّمْ وَعِظْ بِهَذَا.
2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
3 إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ يُعَلِّمُ تَعْلِيماً آخَرَ، وَلاَ يُوافِقُ كَلِمَاتِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ الصَّحِيحَةَ، وَالتَّعْلِيمَ الَّذِي هُوَ حَسَبَ التَّقْوَى
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 فَقَدْ تَصَلَّفَ، وَهُوَ لاَ يَفْهَمُ شَيْئاً، بَلْ هُوَ مُتَعَلِّلٌ بِمُبَاحَثَاتٍ وَمُمَاحَكَاتِ الْكَلاَمِ الَّتِي مِنْهَا يَحْصُلُ الْحَسَدُ وَالْخِصَامُ وَالاِفْتِرَاءُ وَالظُّنُونُ الرَّدِيَّةُ،
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 وَمُنَازَعَاتُ أُنَاسٍ فَاسِدِي الذِّهْنِ وَعَادِمِي الْحَقِّ، يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّ التَّقْوَى تِجَارَةٌ. تَجَنَّبْ مِثْلَ هَؤُلاَءِ.
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 وَأَمَّا التَّقْوَى مَعَ الْقَنَاعَةِ فَهِيَ تِجَارَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ،
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 لأَنَّنَا لَمْ نَدْخُلِ الْعَالَمَ بِشَيْءٍ، وَوَاضِحٌ أَنَّنَا لاَ نَقْدِرُ أَنْ نَخْرُجَ مِنْهُ بِشَيْءٍ.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 فَإِنْ كَانَ لَنَا قُوتٌ وَكِسْوَةٌ فَلْنَكْتَفِ بِهِمَا.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا أَغْنِيَاءَ فَيَسْقُطُونَ فِي تَجْرِبَةٍ وَفَخٍّ وَشَهَوَاتٍ كَثِيرَةٍ غَبِيَّةٍ وَمُضِرَّةٍ تُغَرِّقُ النَّاسَ فِي الْعَطَبِ وَالْهَلاَكِ،
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 لأَنَّ مَحَبَّةَ الْمَالِ أَصْلٌ لِكُلِّ الشُّرُورِ، الَّذِي إِذِ ابْتَغَاهُ قَوْمٌ ضَلُّوا عَنِ الإِيمَانِ، وَطَعَنُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ بِأَوْجَاعٍ كَثِيرَةٍ.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 وَأَمَّا أَنْتَ يَا إِنْسَانَ اللهِ فَاهْرُبْ مِنْ هَذَا، وَاتْبَعِ الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَالإِيمَانَ وَالْمَحَبَّةَ وَالصَّبْرَ وَالْوَدَاعَةَ.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 جَاهِدْ جِهَادَ الإِيمَانِ الْحَسَنَ، وَأَمْسِكْ بِالْحَيَاةِ الأَبَدِيَّةِ الَّتِي إِلَيْهَا دُعِيتَ أَيْضاً، وَاعْتَرَفْتَ الاِعْتِرَافَ الْحَسَنَ أَمَامَ شُهُودٍ كَثِيرِينَ.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
13 أُوصِيكَ أَمَامَ اللهِ الَّذِي يُحْيِي الْكُلَّ وَالْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ الَّذِي شَهِدَ لَدَى بِيلاَطُسَ الْبُنْطِيِّ بِالاِعْتِرَافِ الْحَسَنِ:
13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14 أَنْ تَحْفَظَ الْوَصِيَّةَ بِلاَ دَنَسٍ وَلاَ لَوْمٍ إِلَى ظُهُورِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ،
14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 الَّذِي سَيُبَيِّنُهُ فِي أَوْقَاتِهِ الْمُبَارَكُ الْعَزِيزُ الْوَحِيدُ، مَلِكُ الْمُلُوكِ وَرَبُّ الأَرْبَابِ،
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 الَّذِي وَحْدَهُ لَهُ عَدَمُ الْمَوْتِ، سَاكِناً فِي نُورٍ لاَ يُدْنَى مِنْهُ، الَّذِي لَمْ يَرَهُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلاَ يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يَرَاهُ، الَّذِي لَهُ الْكَرَامَةُ وَالْقُدْرَةُ الأَبَدِيَّةُ. آمِينَ.
16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
17 أَوْصِ الأَغْنِيَاءَ فِي الدَّهْرِ الْحَاضِرِ أَنْ لاَ يَسْتَكْبِرُوا، وَلاَ يُلْقُوا رَجَاءَهُمْ عَلَى غَيْرِ يَقِينِيَّةِ الْغِنَى، بَلْ عَلَى اللهِ الْحَيِّ الَّذِي يَمْنَحُنَا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِغِنًى لِلتَّمَتُّعِ.
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18 وَأَنْ يَصْنَعُوا صَلاَحاً، وَأَنْ يَكُونُوا أَغْنِيَاءَ فِي أَعْمَالٍ صَالِحَةٍ، وَأَنْ يَكُونُوا أَسْخِيَاءَ فِي الْعَطَاءِ كُرَمَاءَ فِي التَّوْزِيعِ،
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 مُدَّخِرِينَ لأَنْفُسِهِمْ أَسَاساً حَسَناً لِلْمُسْتَقْبَِلِ، لِكَيْ يُمْسِكُوا بِالْحَيَاةِ الأَبَدِيَّةِ.
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
20 يَا تِيمُوثَاوُسُ، احْفَظِ الْوَدِيعَةَ، مُعْرِضاً عَنِ الْكَلاَمِ الْبَاطِلِ الدَّنِسِ، وَمُخَالَفَاتِ الْعِلْمِ الْكَاذِبِ الاِسْمِ،
20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
21 الَّذِي إِذْ تَظَاهَرَ بِهِ قَوْمٌ زَاغُوا مِنْ جِهَةِ الإِيمَانِ.
21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
